Utah X-ray Group: Overview

Daniel R. Wik

Associate Professor

Hi! I'm an observational X-ray astronomer who dabbles in theory and instrument calibration. I work with data from the observatories listed at the bottom of the sidebar on the right (or at the bottom if you're on a phone). At the University of Utah, I'm an Associate Professor teaching all levels of astronomy courses, serving on committees and engaging in community outreach, and supervising the talented members of my research group (that's them below!). More details can be found in the links in the sidebar.

What we do

In addition to our research, we get together for weekly group meetings, travel to and present at conferences, write observing proposals, and participate in department activities, especially those related to the Astro Group, such as Astro Lunch, Astro Coffee, and the HEAP Seminars. To learn more, check out the links in the sidebar (either to the right or at the bottom).
